The Grooming Project is a program that trains single parents to be credentialed groomers, which gives them a valuable trade skill. Having an in-demand skill allows them to sustain their families into the future. The program is a state-certified school and requires students to complete 644 classroom hours and complete an internship in a commercial salon. The Grooming Project is a pilot program of EPEC (Empowering the Parent to Empower the Child), a non-profit based in Kansas City, MO. To help give students more experience, the program offers reduced rate grooming appointments at their location in Kansas City. For more information, visit https://thegroomingproject.org.
